Someone called Zenith commented requesting for a post on Griffins - well here it is (and I'm very sorry if I'm late!)
Griffins are found in Greek and Ancient Egyptian folklore. They are depicted as creatures with a lion's body and with the head and wings of an eagle (though some early versions show it to have the front limbs of a lion.) As the lion is traditionally considered king of the beasts and the eagle considered king of the birds, the Griffin is thought to be incredibly powerful and majestic.
Griffin sighting are rare, but here's one at the Taj Mahal (though it's likely to be faked.)
If any of you have requests, please let me know!

Chinese Dragons
Hi to all of you and a happy New Year!
There's a lot to look forward to - the London Olympics (I couldn't get tickets...), the Diamond Jubilee and finally, the end of the world (maybe. I'm sceptical.)
Anyway, as it is the New Year, I thought that it would be sensible to write an article about the Chinese Dragon, although this year's Chinese New Year is on the 23rd. Also, this year happens to be the Year of the Dragon. What a happy coincidence.
The Chinese Dragon is a serpentine-like creature found in Chinese legends and folklore. It has many counterparts found in other folklore such as Japanese and Korean.
In traditional Chinese art, they are depicted as long, colourful serpentine-like creatures with four legs. Each foot has five toes (Japanese ones have four,) and the ankles are decorated with a beautiful feathery plumage. The dragon also has similar plumage around its face (sometimes resembling facial hair) and also has deer-like antlers on its head.
Sometimes the Chinese dragon is thought to be a supernatural being due to its ability to fly despite its physique, much like a sky serpent.
There have recently been sightings of Chinese dragons (take a look at my post HERE).
I found this one while browsing on the Internet, but couldn't find any information on this picture. If you know anything like a time and a place, please say so in the comments!
It appears to be some kind of long, fiery creature, but it may just be some fire.
What do you think it is? Please comment below!

Santa Sighting
Hi!
I've found a Santa sighting, although Santa isn't really a creature of cryptozoology.
Merry Christmas!

Elf Sighting
Hi there!
Since it's near Christmas I'd like to show you an old elf (or gnome) sighting today.
The gnome-like figure was said to terrorise an Argentinian town. Locals have claimed that it stalks the streets at night. The gnome/elf has a pointy hat and a distinctive sideways walk.
Some people say that it's just a midget.
The teenager who filmed the gnome, Jose Alvarez, told a newspaper El Tribuno that he caught the video while hanging out with his friends in their hometown, General Guemes.
"We were chatting about our last fishing trip. It was one in the morning. I began to film a bit with my mobile phone while the others were chatting and joking."
"Suddenly we heard something - a weird noise as if someone was throwing stones. We looked to one side and saw that the grass was moving. To begin with we thought it was a dog but when we saw this gnome-like figure begin to emerge we were really afraid."
Some other locals have come forward to say that they too saw the gnome.
Jose adds, "One of my friends was so scared after seeing that thing that we had to take him to the hospital."

Large Flying Creature filmed in Hamburg
Today I was browsing YouTube and came across this video of what appears to be pterodactyl footage in Hamburg.
I think it's a plastic bag.

"Dead Alien" in Siberia turns out to be a hoax
I know that this is a little late, but the dead alien found in Siberia (see my article HERE, which was posted in April earlier on this year) actually turned out to be a fake made out of stale breadcrumbs and chicken skin.
No wonder people thought it looked like a fried chicken!
The video was shot by Timur Hilall, 18, and Kirill Vlasov, 19. They both admitted that it was a prank after being quizzed by the police.
The Russian interior ministry spokesman said, "We found the alien in one of the student's homes. It was lying under his bed and an examination of it revealed it had been made of bread crumbs which were then covered in chicken skin."
